Judion del Barco de Avila D.O. - XL White Alubia bean

"Judión de El Barco de Avila" (judia= bean & judion= XL bean) is the name that is given to the white alubia that is produced in the denomination of origin of the region of "Barco-Piedrahita".

The bean is quite large, for this type there are 40 around beans per every 100 grs (which is quite a few), making these alubias one of the largest in Spain.

Size would not matter much if it was not for the taste and tenderness of the product that makes it superb when compared to other white beans. The low production and high quality standards to meet, makes this product some sort of a hard to find delicacy in the world of Spanish legumes.

Great for stews, salads or casseroles. Lovely alubia beans that will complement and improve any of your white beans based dishes.
