    Wine Classification

There are other ways of classifying wine apart that from their type. The following the three most common other ways of denominating a wine: by age, by sweetness and by their colour.

When it comes to Age: there are rules set on how much time a wine must spent at every stage of its process to be able to be granted an ageing category (Crianza, Reserve, Grand Reserve, others).

The Spanish wine industry relies on these categories to standardize the classification of all wines no matter on which Denomination of Origin it is being produced.

We will include different articles and news on the ways and regulations that are set in Spain as a whole, as well as those that affect a particular Region or D.O. .You will also be able to find information explaining why the importance of the fact that a bottle is being produced in a D.O. against one that that is not (in terms of quality) and plenty more things that we will be adding on an ongoing basis.
